The Blood of Dawnwalker Bloody Business: Quest Guide & Walkthrough

Ambush and loot. These are the core elements of The Blood of Dawnwalker Bloody Business quest. In this mission, you have to loot the convoy commander to find a letter. Despite its simple objective, there is a catch many players miss, which can make them think the quest is bugged.

Here, I will give you the Blood of Dawnwalker Bloody Business Walkthrough, which covers every aspect of the quest and provides you with some tips for defeating the captain.

Ambrus’s Transports: Bloody Business Quest Short Checklist

  • Find the convoy in Maragir Wealds
  • Cost: 3 time segments & Reward: 250 XP, no skill point
  • Kill all the soldiers
  • Loot the captain’s corpse
  • Find and read Bardil’s letter (Letter of Reprimand)

The Blood of Dawnwalker Bloody Business: How Does It Start?

‌Bloody Business is one of the Ambrus Court activities. Court Activities show up as an “Unknown Activity” until you physically stumble on them or sync the region’s watchtower, after which they appear as trackable question marks.

Bloody Business sits on the road between Maragir Wealds and Maragir village, so it’s easy to pick up once that stretch of the map is uncovered. Keep in mind that this quest will not reward you with skill point.

The quest begins in Maragir Wealds. Before you continue, I should warn you: there is a Uriash among the enemies you will face. Be prepared and pick your best weapon!

How Much Time Bloody Business Costs

Bloody Business costs you 3 time segments, and that is the real price of this quest.

You only have 30 in-game days to reach your family, so every activity you pick is time you are not spending somewhere else. For 3 segments, you walk away with 250 XP, the Letter of Reprimand, and a bump to Ambrus’s anger meter. But no skill point, which makes this the one Ambrus activity that pays you nothing for your skill tree. If you are close to his anger threshold and short on daylight, the Blood Cellars are the cheaper way to finish the job.

I would still clear it, since the fight itself is short and the letter is what pushes Ambrus toward The Gilded Gauntlet, but do not save it for a day when your clock is already tight.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Bloody Business Walkthrough

In the Maragir Wealds, you will run into one of Ambrus’s blood transports, a small escort hauling barrels of harvested blood, with the Uriash carrying one of them on its back.

I marked the location in the screenshot below. However, the convoy is moving, so you may find it at a different location. Its position can be random.

Location of Bloody Business Quest (Can be Random)

Kill the Soldiers

Guards are escorting the shipment. One of these guards is a Uriash. I recommend attacking from behind, as it moves slowly, and using your fast weapon.

Try to kill the regular soldiers first to clear the area and give yourself a better chance to engage the Uriash.

Loot the Captain’s Body

After killing all the soldiers, loot the captain. This is the point where many players get stuck. You may wonder why nothing happens after you kill all the soldiers. Yes, you have to loot the captain and find Bardil’s letter, which reveals Ambrus’s plans. Use the Focus option to highlight the captain’s body in yellow.

Bloody Business Quest Loot

The main loot from the Captain is the Letter of Reprimand, which is a quest item. Besides that, you can find Plain Armor, one Plum, ten Denarius, and a Missive from Ambrus.

This marks the end of the quest, and you receive 250 XP.
